In Depth Discussion (Red 2)

Today is the third class of our current four-class set. We will begin class with a review of our new editing exercise.

The phrase of the week is, "get wound up." We use this phrase to describe someone who is getting excited. This is a good phrase for pets and kids. My mother would always tell my father, " Don't get the children wound up before bed." It also means upset. For example, "He always gets wound up about little things."

Today's reading is the Sunday routine of Sasha Cohen. Our listening material is the second part of the first episode of Serial. There are no vocabulary words this week.

Reading Questions:

  • Do you meditate? Have you tried meditating?
  • What do you think her personality is like after reading about her schedule?
  • Do you feel like you need to plan every single minute of every day?
