ERT Debate

Today is the second class of our current four class set. We will start with our current event.

Our current event topic will be, “becoming a You tuber.” More and more people are starting YouTube channels. Some of them make a living doing so, and many of them are teens and young adults. Here are out questions for the week. 1) What do you think about the fact that more and more Korean students dream about becoming a You Tuber. 2) If your child wanted to become a You Tuber, would you allow it? Why or why not? 3) Compared to the past, why do you think the dreams of young Koreans are changing? Or are they? Think about these questions and we will discuss them in class.

Our reading today is about eating red meat. For our topic we will continue on gun control. I will leave the previous listening material and have added another short one.

El Salvador, Venezuela and Guatemala have the worst gun violence in the world. America's lax firearm laws are adding to their problems. Click here to subscribe to The Economist on YouTube: https://econ.st/2xvTKdy Since 1990 the number of gun deaths worldwide has reached 6.5 million. Three quarters of gun deaths occur in just 15 countries.

Submit yourself here: https://bit.ly/MIDDLEGROUND Pro-gun and anti-gun people came together to see if it's possible to find middle ground on an issue as polarizing as gun rights, especially in light of mass-shootings in America.
